Karen’s research focuses on understanding the effects of genetic predisposition on brain aging using advanced neuroimaging and machine learning techniques. She is passionate about making science accessible and connecting her research to real-world applications. After her studies, Karen aims to advance precision medicine by improving neurogenetics models and exploring innovative medical imaging approaches.
Nicole Lofroth

Nicole’s research focuses on MRI pulse sequence development. Specifically, her work accelerates chemical exchange saturation transfer imaging to improve acute ischemic stroke identification. She is passionate about science communication and actively engaging with the student research community. After graduating Nicole hopes to continue her research in the medical physics field.
